Great store. Really take the time to get you the right shoe. Good selection of orthopedic shoes too for people like me that feet hurt. Sure they may not have every size in every shoe like a big box store, but I can wait a day or two and can't beat a hometown family owned business.
This a hometown shoe store, the owners and staff are great to get along with. They have a lot of knowledge in style AND fit. They won't try to oversell you. They have shoes for young kids as well as the older folks. Overall a well rounded store with excellent staff.
As you can tell from this review I'm a big fan of strader's and have been a customer for a long time. I will continue to be a customer because of their friendliness and service!
The location was run down. I would not want a female going there alone. It looked like an abandoned mall.
Nothing was in stock for me or my son.
The shoes they tried on my son and they said fit, slid up and down on his heel and bunched up at the toes. I said he needed a size smaller and they said they didn't have it.
We will continue to go to Mobleys Shoes in Raleigh!
Sometimes when I go to a shoe store, especially in a larger city, you get a lot of part-time college aged kids who just retrieve the shoe boxes from the back of the store. At strader's their customers are treated as friends and are welcome to sit, chat, and take their time selecting their footwear.
I have always loved and appreciated the staff at Strader's! My mother always bought our shoes from there. I have bought my children and grandchildren's shoes also there! I agree with the previous review, they make you feel at home and not pressured to buy. I highly recommend them!
