Lowe's is convenient to my home and they do have a great deli, wine, and seafood selection. But they do not have the same level of service as the other locations. I don't mind paying more for good service, but to go in and have only one line open, and to see the employees glance away from the patient customers-that is why they only get 3 stars.
The people at Lowes are ways friendly and helpful. Maybe part of it is because we are in a small town and many people recognize one another, but I enjoy my visits here.
It seems like every time I go in here I have issues. I've had a cashier complain to me about her job and how they do clearance pricing. Even after pointing out the clearance tag, she still rang me up full price. I had to go to the customer service desk because she walked away as soon as I got my receipt. And then rolled her eyes at me while I was explaining to another cashier what happened! They really need to get more customer service oriented people in here to work.
Guess where we'll be shopping in the future.
However, the good news is the Food Lion right down the street has re-decorated, started carrying more brands and has better prices. When we stated this to the management of Lowes we my husband and i were met with a 'so what' attitude.

Lowes Foods quality has gone severely downhill in the last year. They are constantly low on products and have begun carrying their 'store; brand more than anything else. Several of the items my family have been discontinued and we were told that we would have to buy a case of whatever item we wished to buy that wasn't in stock. Conversely, we were also told that the distributor no longer carried the items we were buying on a regular basis.
